How to service the rear door jamb switch on 2004 Mercury Sable?

Before working on the rear door door ajar switch you must take out the rear door latch. Unlock the locking tab of the door ajar switch by pushing it with a finger and rotate it in a counterclockwise direction to free it. To install the new door ajar switch perform the reverse steps of removal to properly secure it.
