How to service the front door jamb switch on Mercury Sable?

In order to service the front door ajar switch, take out the door trim panel and watershield. Unplug the interior handle cable, window glass run channel bolt and exterior handle rod. Eliminate door latch bolts and electrical connectors. Loosen the locking tab, turn the switch counterclockwise and put it back by reversing the directions.
