First remove the assembly from the headlamp followed by separation of power connectors from the bulb cover. You should first turn the headlamp bulb cover counterclockwise to detach it before disconnecting the electrical connector from the bulb. After rotating the headlamp bulb retaining ring in a counterclockwise direction you can remove the ring and simply extract the headlamp bulb through rocking movements while pulling it straight out.
