Service the suction accumulator to evaporator line by first disconnecting its spring lock coupling while throwing out the O-ring seals. The rest of the operation must be performed on the second spring lock coupling with disposal of the used O-ring seals afterward. Remove the suction accumulator-to-evaporator line. The installation process should follow reverse removal steps while adding new O-ring seals that received PAG oil lubrication. A correct amount of clean PAG oil should be used to lubricate the refrigerant system. Click the refrigeration system dry to complete the repair sequence. You will need a new suction accumulator only when physical evidence shows contamination from an A/C compressor failure or suction accumulator damage.
