2005 Ford E-250 Crankshaft Position Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Ford E-250?
A: The first step to service the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor includes disconnecting the battery ground cable then raising the vehicle for work. Users need to detach the splash shield and accessory drive belt which are present on the A/C compressor pulley. You should first disconnect the electrical connector of the crankshaft position sensor before setting the wiring harness away and then unfasten the wiring harness from its bracket. Staff can remove the A/C compressor field coil electrical connector without detachments of A/C compressor bolts. Yet still they should loosen bolt torques enough to get an inch of clearance for CKP sensor removal. First detach both the CKP sensor bolt followed by removing the sensor sensor. After uninstalling the sensor and its components simply perform the installation steps in reverse order.
