The first step for the negative battery cable involves removing the body ground cable bolt while taking off the auxiliary battery ground terminal nut before freeing the auxiliary battery cables from the ground cable end. The battery cable locator on the negative post needs release before removing the ground cable bolt which extracts both the ground cable and engine ground cable. Begin by taking off the auxiliary positive battery terminal nut then freeing the auxiliary battery cables from the positive cable end and releasing the positive battery cable locators and cutting the starter motor solenoid in-line electrical connector. The first step is to raise and support the vehicle while you must replace the B+ terminal nut on the starter motor whenever you loosen or unfasten it.
