How to Ensure Proper Functionality of the Hood Latch on 2005 Ford Mustang?

In order to service the hood latch, unscrew the 6 retainers, upper radiator shield, and front bumper cover. Indicate the location of the latch, and unscrew the 2 bolts and release cable. To reinstall, follow steps backward and do not forget to lubricate the latch and make sure it is engaged properly. Tighten bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
