2005 Ford Mustang Power Steering Cooler Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Cooler on 2005 Ford Mustang?
A: First prepare the power steering cooler repair by positioning the vehicle with NEUTRAL transmission on a hoist. The clamp can be removed to disconnect the cooler-to-reservoir hose so that the fluid can drain into a suitable storage container. The detachment of return line-to-cooler hose must be accomplished after clamp release. The pin-retainer of the cooler pressure line should be removed from the stabilizer bar bracket before removing the two cooler nuts and the cooler itself. Position the new installation with 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.) torque. Finish the operation by returning to the removal process and performing power steering system filling.
