2005 Ford Mustang Radiator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the radiator on 2005 Ford Mustang?
A: Service of the radiator requires draining the cooling system first. Start the radiator service process by taking off four push pin retainers and the air deflector before proceeding to remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. Set aside the lower radiator hose while you detach the degas bottle to radiator hose as well as the upper radiator hose. The radiator support brackets need four bolts removed at 30 Nm torque specification (22 ft lbs) until reinstallation. Proceed by successively taking away the two power steering tubes as well as A/C condenser retaining nuts but keep the steering tubes nearby until completing the radiator removal with two A/C condenser bolts requiring 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque upon reinstallation. After radiator installation complete the reverse process for fitting the radiator and follow up with filling the cooling system and performing a bleeding procedure.
