How to service and repair the knock sensor (KS) on 2005 Ford Taurus?

To fix the knock sensor (KS) pull the car on a hoist in neutral. Unplug the battery ground cable and the electrical connector of KS. Unscrew the bolt that connects sensor and unscrew it. In order to install the new sensor, reverse the steps of removing the sensor.
