The service operation of the throttle body requires protecting the bore and plate region with its specific coating by not cleaning them. The first step should start with engine appearance cover removal before examining the noise suppressor placement on the intake manifold. The second step requires removal of the air cleaner outlet pipe. Disconnect the electrical cables connecting the throttle position (TP) sensor and electronic throttle body motor sensor. Next disconnect the throttle feed hose then remove the clamp assembly from both hose pieces and place the components to the side. The electronic throttle body needs four bolts removed before replacing them with a new intake manifold-to-electronic throttle body gasket. When replacing the electronic throttle body you must use a new intake manifold-to-electronic throttle body gasket and tighten its mounting bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) through the identical installation steps.
