- Q: How to service the rear antenna cable on 2005 Lincoln Town Car?A: The first step to work on the rear antenna lead-in cable requires battery disconnection. Take out the right-hand lower C-pillar trim panel by discarding the pin-type retainers and set the insulation to the side. Start service of the rear antenna lead-in cable by taking off both the right-hand lower A-pillar trim panel and the right-hand B-pillar trim panel. In order to disconnect the antenna lead-in cable at the A-pillar you must lower the right-hand rear corner of the headliner. You need to unscrew the bolts of the rear antenna cable while also disconnecting the electrical connector before freeing the push pin retainer at the rear window glass. Put the new antenna lead-in cable above the previous version while using wire ties for reinforcement avoid damaging the wiring harness. To finish the installation secure or insulate the ends of the old cable then perform the installation in reverse order.
