2006 Lincoln Town Car Antenna Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the rear antenna cable on 2006 Lincoln Town Car?
A: The process to service and repair the rear antenna lead-in cable begins with parcel shelf removal followed by right-hand lower C-pillar trim panel removal by detaching the pin-type retainers while moving the insulation to the side. The installation process begins by removing both right-hand A-pillar trim panels together with the right-hand B-pillar trim panels. Cut the antenna cable connection at the A-pillar before lowering the right-hand corner of the headliner at its rear section. The removal process requires three steps to extract the rear antenna cable near the rear window glass. Firstly remove the bolt then disconnect the electrical connector and lastly take out the push pin retainer. Use additional cable ties to keep the existing cable positioned within the harness and to fasten the new cable on top of the body main wiring harness while securing old cable ends before tying them back or using insulation to minimize noise interference. The reverse steps from removal should be followed for the installation completion process.
