How to service the knock sensor (KS) on 2005 Mercury Mountaineer?

In order to service the knock sensor (KS), start with the removal of the intake manifold. Next, put off the KS electrical connector and remove the bolt attaching the KS. The installation of the new KS to be installed is completed by tightening the new KS to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) and then reversing the steps of removal.
