  A: One must start by draining engine cooling liquid while disconnecting the fuel tube spring lock coupling for servicing and repairs of the lower intake manifold. Start by removing the upper intake manifold and then proceed with removal of both the left-hand and right-hand valve covers. Disconnect the electrical wiring for the Fuel Rail Pressure sensor and remove vacuum lines of the sensor, together with fuel injector electrical wiring. The service starts by detaching the fuel injectors together with the supply manifold followed by removing the heater hose and disconnecting the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sender electrical connector alongside ECT sensor connector and degas bottle hose. The installation requires removal of the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing followed by an extraction of the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor. The lower intake manifold gets its bolts removed while the technician removes the intake manifold gaskets and end seals. You must first sanitize all barriers using metal surface cleaner. The lower intake manifold requires reapplication of sealant after four minutes of unsuccessful installation because it needs a second cleaning process before becoming completely dry.
