2006 Ford Crown Victoria Vehicle Speed Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor for the Turbine Shaft and Output Shaft on 2006 Ford Crown Victoria?
A: Service of both Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor and Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor requires the vehicle to be in NEUTRAL position on a hoist along with disabling the fire suppression system when present. Remove the sensor bolt for OSS or TSS sensor and unplug its electrical connector before taking out the hardware. The TSS sensor requires bolt torque of 11 Nm while the OSS sensor should be tightened to 12 Nm when installing both sensors. Repower the vehicle after installation when it includes fire suppression equipment.
