As a first step before electronic throttle body electrical connector disconnection ensure both the red clip removal and the electrical connector separation. All electrical connector removals require you to pull out the red clip before performing the operation on both the throttle position sensor and electronic throttle body connectors. Take out the four bolts which fasten the throttle body after you discard the old throttle body gasket. The installation procedure starts with applying a new throttle body gasket followed by positioning the throttle body and performing sequential bolt tightening that includes 9 Nm (80 lb-in) torque first and an extra 90 degrees rotation. Connect the throttle position sensor electrical connector by pulling the red clip while you should also connect the electronic throttle body electrical connector with its attached red clip. Reinstall both the air cleaner assembly together with the air cleaner outlet tube before restoring the battery ground cable.
