Service of the Engine Control Module starts with disconnecting the battery cable ground. The service procedure requires users to remove two powertrain control module (PCM) stud bolt nuts then place the wiring harness and manifold absolute pressure sensor aside. The PCM electrical connectors need to be disconnected before the two stud bolts securing the PCM. During reinstallation double-check that the stud bolts reach a torque value of 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Install the PCM cowl seal after performing the removal procedure in reverse and tighten the stud bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
