Begin the heater core service by detaching both heater hoses from the heater core while releasing the clamps. First remove the instrument panel from the vehicle before disconnecting the temperature blend door lever and its screw. After screw removal of the heater core cover you should proceed to take out the three screws and the heater core cover to complete the heater core removal. Install the temperature blend door actuator and switch in their proper positions then use plain water to lubricate coolant hoses as needed before attaching the temperature blend door lever. The installation requires following the opposite steps of removal and filling and bleeding the engine cooling system. A heater core leak test should be performed before removing the component.
