Service of the temperature blend door actuator requires first lowering the glove compartment door and setting the temperature selector at maximum cold. The locking tab needs release before the temperature blend door actuator becomes separate from the blend door shaft. First detach the instrument panel center finish panel followed by taking out the temperature blend door actuator unit. The installation process requires performing the opposite actions used for removal.
