How to service the front door window regulator on 2006 Ford Explorer?

A service of a front door window regulator starts with taking off the front door trim panel then moving on to separate the front door speaker and interior moulding from the system. The next step requires removing the front door weather shield from its installation position. Remove the two front door window glass-to-regulator bolts from vehicles with welded glass attachments while adjusting window glass position as needed for access. The bolts need to be tightened to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) during reinstallation. Tape should be used to keep the front door glass in the fully up position before disconnecting the window regulator motor electrical connector. The four window regulator assembly nuts should be installed at 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque during reinstallation. After removing the window regulator assembly complete the installation by performing the opposite steps of the removal process.
