How to service the left-hand parking brake cable on 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

Before working on the left-hand parking brake cable you need to free the tension from the rear parking brake. The service of the park brake cables starts by splitting them at the equalizer and after removing two wire form bolts from the frame rail, set the cable and conduit to the side while tightening them to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque. The parking brake cable together with conduit must be directed towards the exterior of the leaf spring assembly before removing the left-hand spring bracket bolt for tightening at 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). The next step involves releasing the parking brake cable from the left-hand parking brake bracket assembly before rotating the cable by 90 degrees to separate from the actuating lever in order to take off the cable. The installation ends with the opposite process used for removal.
