The wire form bracket under the rear axle front spring hanger needs attention in vehicles with long box frames thus requiring removal of the wire form bracket bolt from the frame rail and releasing the conduit from the frame guide. Remove both the differential bracket bolt of the parking brake cable along with the lower shock mount bracket bolt of the cable. Free the right-hand parking brake bracket assembly by releasing the parking brake cable then turn the cable 90 degrees to allow its detachment from the parking brake actuating lever before removing the cable. Installation of the new cable requires performing the reverse steps of removal.
