How to service the left-hand exhaust manifold on 2006 Ford Five Hundred?

In order to service the left exhaust manifold, take out the cooling fans and HO2S connector. Break the manifold off the catalytic converter, and remove the nuts and gasket. Install new studs, nuts and gasket and tighten them to specified values and refit them by reversing the steps that were followed during the removal.
