How to service the alternator on 2006 Ford Mustang?

To maintain the alternator, disconnect the battery, turn the tensioner of the belt, and take off the belt. Unplug the electrical connector and B+ terminal of the generator and screw it to 8 Nm when replacing it. Take out the generator stud nut, and the two securing bolts and tighten to 48 Nm on re-installation. Turn-around the process to finish.
