  A: Initiate automatic transmission fluid filter servicing or repair when the vehicle stands in neutral position on a hoist. The transmission fluid requires draining by unthreading the plug. Start by disconnecting both heated oxygen sensor (H02S) connectors with retaining clip from the right-hand pan rail whereafter placing the connectors to the side. First pull the H02S connector out from the transmission pan rail front position. The transmission fluid pan gasket can be used again if it passes an inspection for damage while cleaning the parts. After removing both the transmission fluid pan as well as its gasket you need to dispose of the old transmission fluid filter.
