How to remove and install the Center Console Base on 2006 Lincoln LS?

Begin console work by positioning the seats to the right spot before turning off the battery power. Start by removing the parts of the floor console storage drawer by unscrewing three pieces plus the bin and armrest retainer. Disconnect all electrical cables before you lift the floor console front panel from front to back to release its holders. First dispose of the floor console center finish panel and if needed take out its two screws along with the floor console cup holder. Take out the two front screws followed by three rear screws from the floor console and reinstall each fastener with 4 Nm tightness. Lower the console from its back edge with a pushing motion. This action unclips the heater ducts from the panel so you can remove the floor console fasteners and electronic connection and tighten all parts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Reinstall the console by following steps in reverse order.
