2006 Lincoln LS Power Steering Reservoir Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Power Steering Reservoir on 2006 Lincoln LS?
A: You can drain the power steering reservoir using the proper suction tool as your first task. When reinstalling the upper reservoir isolator bolt, tighten it to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.). The lower reservoir isolator bolt requires loosening before installation while securing it at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Detach the cooler-to-reservoir return hose through clamp removal and disconnect the reservoir-to-pump supply hose in exactly the same method. Lift the reservoir carefully off its isolators in an upward direction. You should execute the installation steps in reverse order of removal and add proper fluid to the power steering system.
