How to service and repair the turn signal switch on 2006 Lincoln LS?

The first step to work on the turn signal switch requires the removal of the steering wheel. The next step involves setting the steering column to its lowest position while extending it completely to reach a straight-wheel angle. Start by removing both lower steering column shroud screws then take away the lower steering column shroud before removing the upper steering column shroud. The next step consists of first removing the two multi-function switch screws while disconnecting its electrical connector. Free the two tabs before pulling the multi-function switch out of the Clock Spring. Reverse all steps during the installation which were utilized for removal.
