The initial step for repairing the turn signal switch includes steering wheel disassembly then removing the instrument panel cluster finish panel. Start by removing the screws to take out steering column shrouds which are located at upper and lower positions. Two pieces of masking tape should be applied across the air bag sliding contact to stop it from rotating. Furthermore squeeze the three clips before moving the air bag sliding contact to its designated place. Take the multifunction switch by disconnecting the electrical connector first followed by disconnecting it. The opposite procedure used during removal needs to be executed to finish the installation.
