How to service and repair the brake light switch on 2006 Lincoln Zephyr?

To remove the brake light switch, unscrew the electric connector and turn the switch clockwise by 45 degrees to be removed without pressure to the brake pedal. The switch is automatic; the pedal must not be pressed when installing the switch. To do additional fine-tuning, another switch is needed. Installation is the reverse of the removal.
