2006 Mercury Montego Wiper Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the wiper switch on the steering column multifunction switch on 2006 Mercury Montego?
A: The wiper switch servicing process on the steering column multifunction switch begins with taking out the steering wheel. First detach the instrumental finish panel along with the steering column upper shroud by removing the screws from the finish panel and pressing the upper shroud sides way from the lower shroud. Next proceed to remove the three screws mounted on the lower steering column shroud followed by removing the lower shroud. Separate the 3 electrical connectors before removing the multifunction switch through the 4 mounting screws. The installation process requires execution of the steps that were used for removal in the reverse order.
