  A: The first procedure for servicing and repairing the engine oil dip stick and dip stick tube of 4.6L (2V) and 5.4L (2V) engines involves removing both the engine air cleaner (ACL) and the air cleaner outlet pipe. Remove the LH exhaust manifold as the next step before taking out the nut and bolt and oil level indicator with its tube and discard the O-ring seal. Check the oil level indicator tube for damages. Attach an O-ring seal to the 4.6L (2V) engine by lubricating it with clean motor oil then set the oil level indicator into place before fixing it using a 10 Nm (89 inch lbs) torque setting of the bolt and nut. To install the bolt for the 5.4L (2V) engine you must first apply engine oil on a new O-ring seal then place the oil level indicator before tightening the bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs). Position the front oil level indicator then attach the tube support bracket nut while tightening it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs). Complete the procedure by first reinstalling the LH exhaust manifold before installing the ACL outlet pipe and the ACL.
