How to service the windshield wiper motor on 2007 Ford Explorer?

The first step to service the windshield wiper motor includes removal of front wiper pivot arms then cowl grille panels starting with right-hand and left-hand sides. The electrical connector and wiring harness from the wiper motor must be detached before you can unfasten and set aside the wiper arm accessory. Tighten the three bolts which hold the windshield wiper assembly to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling the parts. Post the windshield wiper assembly removal from the vehicle carefully install it on a workbench. When reattaching the wiper motor remove its mounting arm bolt and the wiper motor mounting arm by tightening everything to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). The installation requires you to remove the three mounting bolts of the windshield wiper motor and to tighten them to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) during installation steps. For installing the windshield wiper motor take out the device and follow the reversal of removal procedures.
