How to service the windshield wiper motor on Ford Explorer?

The first step to service the windshield wiper motor includes removal of front wiper pivot arms then cowl grille panels starting with right-hand and left-hand sides. The electrical connector and wiring harness from the wiper motor must be detached before you can unfasten and set aside the wiper arm accessory. Tighten the three bolts which hold the windshield wiper assembly to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling the parts. Post the windshield wiper assembly removal from the vehicle carefully install it on a workbench.
