The first step requires removal and disposal of U-bolt nuts and U-bolts alongside the rear spring upper plate. The service demands removal of both the spring-to-front bracket bolt and flag nut and the shackle-to-rear bracket bolt and flag nut. Service of auxiliary springs and spacers on rear springs should be done along with the complete rear spring assembly before removal of the components. Place the rear spring in its position and fasten its shackle-to-rear bracket bolt and flag nut while leaving it loose. The procedure requires installing the spring-to-front bracket bolt together with the flag nut until the parts achieve sufficient tightness but refrain from using torque. Fasten the spring upper plate followed by U-bolt and nuts installation while maintaining vertical alignment of the U-bolts until reaching a secure state without full tightening. The curb height installation requires you to first tighten the shackle-to-rear bracket bolt to 225 Nm (166 ft. lbs.) and the spring-to-front bracket bolt to 375 Nm (277 ft. lbs.) for non-waxed spring brackets and 300 Nm (222 ft. lbs.) for waxed spring brackets.
