Remove the rear spring upper plate by discarding both U-bolt nuts and U-bolts. Move on to discard the flagnut paired with the shackle-to-rear bracket bolt as well as the flagnut of the spring-to-front bracket bolt. The rear spring assembly must be serviced when it contains an auxiliary spring and spacer. Service the entire assembly by removing its rear spring components. When installing the rear spring position it first then insert the shackle-to-rear bracket bolt with flagnut until it becomes tight enough but do not over-tighten. First secure the spring-to-front bracket bolt and flagnut until tight but do not fully tighten them. Place the spring upper plate before installing the U-bolts and nuts to maintain U-bolt verticality before tightening the nuts loosely. Tighten the shackle-to-rear bracket bolt to 225 Nm while maintaining at curb height and the spring-to-front bracket bolt requires 515 Nm to complete the installation. Tighten U-bolt nuts through four stages according to a cross-type pattern until they reach 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) first, then 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.), followed by 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.), closing with 185 Nm (136 ft. lbs.). Finish the procedure by returning the wheel along with its tire.
