Service of the cruise control servo requires disconnecting the electrical connector from the speed control actuator first. First dissolve the three speed control actuator bolts before reinstallation at 9 Nm of torque (80 lb-in) tightness. First push the locking tab while turning the speed control cable cover counterclockwise to separate it from the controls followed by removing the speed control cable. An operator must first press the spring retainer to detach the speed control actuator cable from the pulley by sliding the core wire end out of the speed control actuator mechanism. Reinstallation requires applying downward pressure to the speed control actuator cable before you rotate it clockwise then you can finish installation by doing the removal steps in reverse order.
