How to remove and replace the parking brake cable on 2007 Ford Freestyle?

In order to change the parking brake cable, de-tension, disassemble 3 bracket bolts (tighten to 12 Nm) and un-link the intermediate cable with the front and rear cables. Disconnect the LH rear cable, and then repeat the steps of installation, and check the parking brake system to make sure it is working.
