2007 Ford Taurus Washer Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the windshield washer reservoir and pump on 2007 Ford Taurus?
A: You should start your service of windshield washer components by taking out the right-hand front inner fender well. Detach the windshield wiper pump hose followed by draining the washer fluid before disconnecting its electrical connector. The washer pump needs release from its cavity position through the use of a small flat-blade screwdriver. Tightening the top bolt of the washer fluid reservoir to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) constitutes its final installation step. Install the reservoir nut followed by tightening it to 5 Nm (44 lb-in). The front bolt of the washer fluid reservoir should be removed before reinstalling it with a torque of 5 Nm (44 lb-in). Operating the windshield washer pump must be avoided until the reservoir receives its fluid. Recovery of the installation process occurs by performing the steps in the opposite order of removal.
