Separate the automatic transmission shift lever cable from its functional connections with both the automatic transmission shift lever bracket and its arm. The automatic transmission shift lever removal process starts by removing its bolts then disconnecting its electrical connection before extracting the part from the vehicle. Following assembly of the automatic transmission shift lever assembly into the console use 12 Nm (9 feet pounds) torque for bolting the assembly in place.
