First detach the overdrive cancel switch electrical connector before removing the two screws which hold the upper steering column shroud in place. Separating the automatic transmission shift levers requires first removing its retaining screw. Mount the automatic transmission shift levers inside the steering column before fastening it with the screw and torquing it to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). Stow the overdrive cancel switch wire harness properly to prevent damage and reinstall its electrical connector. Begin the reinstallation with two screws securing the upper steering column shroud and finish by securing the lower shroud with its screw before installing the steering wheel.
