2007 Lincoln Mark LT Power Steering Cooler Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Cooler on 2007 Lincoln Mark LT?
A: Service and repair of the power steering cooler should start by putting the vehicle into NEUTRAL gear while placing it on a hoist. Unscrew the clamp on the power steering cooler-to-reservoir hose then remove it from the power steering reservoir. To disconnect the return line from the steering gear start by first removing the power steering line clamp plate bolt and rotating the clamp plate before removing the return line from the steering gear and discarding the O-ring seal. For reinstallation execute a proper torque of 23 Nm on the return line. First disconnect the power steering cooler by removing its two securing bolts before tightening them to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.) at installation. Conclude the power steering system maintenance by filling it properly after reversing the removal steps.
