How to remove and replace the rear 60 percent seat cushion on 2007 Lincoln MKX?

Before beginning the replacement process of the rear 60 percent seat cushion start by removing the 60 percent seat. The heating system requires disconnecting the electrical connectors of the two heating mats and separating them from the backrest assembly. The outboard cushion frame pivot bracket cover needs its tab to be released before removing it. The same procedure applies to the inboard cushion frame pivot bracket cover. The next step involves eliminating the two cushion frame pivot bracket bolts together with the cushion assembly. The installation process requires tightening bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) and following the opposite order of removal.
