The first step to uninstall the rear 40 percent seat cushion requires the removal of the existing 40 percent seat. The heating system requires disconnecting the heater mat electrical connector from the backrest before separating both heated seat electrical connectors from the backrest assembly. First use your finger to pop off the tab for the cover protecting the outboard cushion frame pivot bracket and afterward use your finger to remove the inboard cushion frame pivot bracket cover. Detachment of the cushion assembly occurs when both cushion frame pivot bracket bolts are taken out. The installation requires the same procedures in reverse order while tightening bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
