The service starts with unfastening six nuts from the RH exhaust manifold while discarding both nuts and gasket. The RH exhaust manifold needs cleaning before the six manifold studs need removal for discarding them. Use a plastic scraper to cleanse sealing surfaces because metal scrapers along with wire brushes as well as abrasive instruments create damage that can produce leaks during the exhaust manifold and cylinder head mating process according to product instructions. The installation process includes using six new RH exhaust manifold studs which need tightening to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
