Begin the service by removing the front door trim panel while placing the water shield to the side. The service on the left-hand door requires disconnecting the door lock cylinder actuating lock rod from the lock cylinder and then opening the clip to release the exterior door handle actuating rod. Following the manual actuating lock rod's removal from the door latch the technician will remove and discard three bolts before placing the front door latch aside while tightening it to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) during installation. The door harness must be disconnected from the door latch after removing all its electrical connectors. Detach the cable of the interior door handle actuating system and unfasten the front door latch while removing the conduit and interior actuating cable from around the cover. You should check that the exterior door handle rod is extended to its fullest position before closing the clip moving forward with the installation. Perform the reverse steps for a successful installation of the needed parts.
