How to Service the Seat Heater Switch and Front Seat Seat Switch on 2007 Lincoln Navigator?

Start the service of the seat heater switch and front seat control switch by putting the seat into an adjustable position forward and upward for switch access. The first step includes both disabling supplemental restraint system (SRS) power and pulling bench control buttons then discarding power recliner buttons when present. You must avoid pulling from the inboard section of the front seat cushion panel shield to prevent damage when working on power seats with manual recliners. After doing so correctly you can detach the front seat cushion panel shield by disengaging the upper and lower retaining clips. Proceed to unfasten the forward screw from the cushion side shield cover while maintaining safety of the manual recliner lever throughout the operation. First expose the seat control switch by opening the cover and disconnect the switch from the side shield before taking off the complete cushion side shield cover. Disconnect the seat control switch electrical connector and remove its corresponding memory set switch connector. The seat control switch removal requires releasing clips for removing it and the installer should follow the reverse removal steps when recharging the air bag system. Safety glasses must be worn when performing work on vehicles with air bags together with the elimination of memory saver devices which protect against personal harm.
