The air suspension switch inside the luggage compartment allows controlling air spring inflation and deflation during maintenance. For safety the technician should place this switch in the off position to avoid unexpected vehicle movement due to changes in suspension height. Position the neutral-stalled vehicle onto a hoist. Apply full activation to the parking brake control by lowering the parking brake adjuster clip. Adjust the adjuster through pushing the parking brake adjuster clip upward before releasing the parking brake control. Lift and detach the front parking brake cord and tubular conduit from the left-hand rear parking brake elongated shaft at the joining connector point. The front parking brake cable and conduit retainer comes off its bracket when you press the tabs while removing it then separate the parking brake cable bracket bolt and bracket by tightening the bolt to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) during reinstallation. Detach the front parking brake cable with conduit from the parking brake control until the components can be pushed downward. Then pull them out. Apply the opposite steps during installation while readjusting the parking brake cable tension when necessary.
