Place the vehicle in the neutral gear on a hoist. Apply full pressure to the parking brake control after pulling down the adjuster clip on the friction runway. Press the bottom of the parking brake adjuster clip to lock the adjuster then let go of the parking brake control. Start by disconnecting the front parking brake cable from the LH rear parking brake cable at their cable union before freeing the front parking brake conduit from the frame bracket by pushing the retaining tabs. The installation of the front parking brake cable conduit to the parking brake control bracket requires disconnecting it by using the same method with the retaining tabs. The front parking brake cable bracket bolt requires removal for which you should apply torque of 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) when reinstallation occurs. You should detach the front parking brake cable from the parking brake control before pushing the front parking brake conduit grommet through the body to successfully remove the front parking brake cable.
